Meet Splann

A Cornwall-based Ceilidh band bringing people together through energetic live music, expert calling and a passion for dance.

Our Story

Music, Dance & Good Company

Splann was born out of a shared love of traditional Celtic music and dance, a passion for bringing people together and the simple joy of a good old fashioned knees up!

Based in Cornwall, we're a group of musicians and friends who love sharing the energy and excitement of ceilidh dancing, festivals and music sessions. Splann Ceilidh Band brings foot-tapping Scottish reels, spinning Irish jigs and driving Cornish tunes to life in a fun, modern and energetic way… just the way we love it!

Over the years, Splann has brought music, dancing and laughter to weddings, festivals, parties and celebrations across Cornwall, Devon and beyond. Some of the festivals we've played at include Lowender, Rock Oyster, Fisherman's Friends Festival, Boardmasters, Shennaghys Jiu (Isle of Man) and Festival Interceltique de Lorient (Brittany).

For us, it's about much more than playing tunes. It's about bringing people together, filling dance floors and creating memories that last long after the music stops.

And with our friendly caller guiding everyone through the steps, you don't need to know your dos-à-dos from your Strip the Willow!

We're Splann — and we can't wait to get you dancing!
